So I had my first birthday in Nicaragua a week ago! It was amazing!
I had so many people from the united States and people from Nicaragua and tell me happy birthday..man did I feel special! To top it off, my new Nicaraguan family of two weeks gave me my first pair of nicaraguan sandals! And then that night, I went to my amigas house and they threw a party for me! We danced, they gave me a tub of Eskimo icecream, and a shirt and bracelet. It was super awesome! Then some other peace corps volunteers and I went to matagalpa, and they bought me lunch. My birthday went awesome!
I will put some pictures up in the next few days, but I have got to run now! I did update my address, this is my new address....you can send packages and letters to this address, its safe...and its ways closer than Managua!

I am glad you had a great first b-day in Nica. Looks like we forgot to go camping this year in freezing or rainy weather. Hope you enjoy those sandals. They are prob much better then those stupid chaco's hahah.
