This Sunday I woke up refreshed and excited about having a relaxing day! My family had asked me the night before if I wanted to go to a baptism of another trainee´s family. I asked if the baptism was¨"aqui?" Yes, my family said, at 9am at the Catholic Iglesia. So I was like "Sure, that sounds like fun!" Well, when my hostmom left to go to mass on Sunday at 9:00, I was a little confused because she said I must stay at the house for the baptsim. Okay...change of plans maybe about what time the baptism is at. At 9:30 my host father comes home and asks me if i have money for the baptism..."No, do i need some?" He adamently shook his head yes....so i go into my room to get some money. All the while, my host sister is telling me... !Mas rapido¡ Mas Rapido! So Im running aound like a lunatic, and my host sister and the lady that comes to clean are laughing histerically at me. When I come out of my room, my father asks me if I have water. "No, do i need water?" Again he adamently shakes his head yes, and i run back to my room to get my water bottle. Anyways, Im ready to go after i get my water, and my sister tells me the trainees family is waiting on me for the baptism...Oh no! We get out there and i see a microbus filled with people. All I knew how to say was "¿Donde?" I was so confused! Why are we getting in a bus to go two blocks? Turns out, we were going to another town...for the whole day. Lol...it was an amazing experience!
We went to the baptism in another Iglesia Catolica in a town called La Conquista. After the baptism, my trainee friend and I helped set up for the fiesta that they were having for the baptism. It was really interesting to see how they made decorations out of the things they already had. They made center peices out of plastic bowls, dirt, branches, and flowers. They were amazing! Sadly there was not any dancing until we walked out of the door...but it was an amazing experience!
Things that were amazing this week:
1. Spending Nicaragua´s Independence Day with my family.
2. I woke up this morning to my hostmom boiling water for my bucket bath. That is the nicest thing I can think of anyone doing for me! It was so sweet!

Yay! Just figured out you are updating your blog. Now I feel in the know. I thinking I'm going to try sending the soap/shampoo in a padded envelope. Still trying to figure the customs thing out. Love you.
