Lots of people keep asking me, "What are you most excited about, and what are you most scared about?" There are many things that I am excited about, many things that I am scared of. In a letter, I recently wrote to my best friend who is serving with the Peace Corps in Peru, I outlined my fears and excitements. They are as follows:

Five Things That Excite Me:
1. They dance salsa, merengue and bachata in Nicaragua all the time-YAY! I get to dance salsa with Nicaraguans!
2. I might have to get/ride a horse in order to get to the schools I will be teaching at! I know you are jealous...I will be too if my fellow PC Volunteers get to ride one and I don't! :( lol...jk
3. I get to teach kids and co-teach with adults-YAY! totally awesome :D
4. I might be fluent in Spanish when I am done with my Peace Corps stint!
5. I will be fulfilling one of my bucket list goals and having an experience of a lifetime!

Four Things That Scare Me:
1. Not having toilet paper (I secretly will spend a half of my living stipend to buy some...maybe :)
2. BIG BUGS-like flying roaches, tarantulas, bed bugs, sand flies...(I am really scared about these crawling into my shoes and me not knowing it when I go to put me shoes on---Yuk!)
3. Living in a cardboard house (though this is very unrealistic, I don't want it to happen!)
4. Getting Dengue Fever-I heard that 8 of the trainees that left in May for Nicaragua have it now...I don't want it-AT ALL!

Put your shoes in large Ziploc bags or space bags so no bugs get inside :)
Thanks! Great idea:)
We all know where you are really worried about the bugs crawling.
